<description>I used to think the ONE thing I would NEVER do is to buy used shoes or shoes found at thrift stores; what changed my mind years ago was when I found brand new shoes at a thrift store; you can tell by the SOLES if they have ever been worn or not. I found a pair of NATURALIZERS; instead of paying $50 for them I got them for $2.00 and found I could wear them from sunup to sundown even with heels &amp; never feel any pain!
Since then many others have voiced their scorn; so I usually keep my mouth SHUT. However, you MUST do a LOT of looking; when on the way into town to grocery shop or whatever, I STOP and LOOK, many times buying nothing; other times I have found brand new $100+ BOOTS for an acquaintance needing some; he did NOT scorn them at all!
I have scored Niki Airs for as low as 50 cents; Converse the REAL deal not imitations for $5; Sketchers for $4.99; Bass for $2.50; it&#039;s easy to find which stores carry the BEST deals on shoes; even THRIFT stores are better on some things than others; Birkenstocks for $1.99 was the best find of all!
Fred Meyers stores often times have an addl 40 percent off marked down prices; can have up to 70 percent off lowest marked prices; THIS is the time to GET SERIOUS about what the NEEDS of the family are; or aquaintances; happy hunting!</description>
